More About Me
My name is Søren I'm a 30 plus year old guy from Aalbrog in Denmark. I have been playing video game for as long as I can remember, I started out on a Amiga 500, then later on I got a Nintendo 64, and in 1996 I got my hands on PlayStation controller and I have been in love ever since.
I am what many would define as a PlayStation fanboy and im damn proud of it.
Why Hippic?
Definition of hippic according to the dictionary : of or relating to horses or horse racing <the chief English hippic events of the season — Punch>
... Wait What!!? Yeah that is not the reason why I chose that name, that was something I was made aware of afterwards :S
The actual reason I have that online name is do to the game Stolen from 2005, a relativ unknown game with mediocre reviews, and in my opinion it's a hidden gem because it's actually a really fun stealth game.
When I had to come up with a PSN ID I had the game Stolen lying around and publisher Hip Games logo caught my eye. So I came up with the idea of combining the word Hip with the abbreviation for Picture.
...and voilà Hippic was born.

In 96 when this beast entered the screen in Tomb Raide, I was scared and amazed at the same time.
Me in the mid-90's
The year 1996 was an important year for me in many aspeckeds. I got my hands on my first PlayStation and went on my first adventure with Lara Croft and mind blowing polygon graphics ...Oooh those polygon graphics. Haning out with my friends with out a care in the world, a played Tekken 2 literally day and night, ending up know every special move the game had to offer.
Playing Mario Kart 64 for hours on end, knowing every track and shortcut like the back of my hand, and exploiting ever hidden passage and cheat in the game. being absolute convinced that is was possible to enter Princess Toadstool castle we just had to figure out how, or how to unlock Luigi in
Super Mario 64, because we all had that one friend that know someone, that know someone, that had a cousin who had done it, and since we beliver everything we were told and the internet wasn't as big a help back then, there was only one thing to do, try try and try again, only to learning 20 year later it was all for nothing.
I dont know if it's because I've gotten older, or just didn't have that many games to play when I was a child, but my interest of exploring every single detail in a game has dwindled over time. This days I play and complete a game with in a short amount of time, and then on to the next.
I know this is do to my buying power has increased over the years, because now I can buy whatever I want and if the game ends up being complet snoozefest then it just on to the next. But when I was a kid and got my hands on a new game I was stuck with it until I could scrape together enough allowance to buy another game ...and this might sound strange but I kinda miss those times.
Favorit movie ever
1996 was also the year I went in the cinema with 4 friend and saw the movie that scared my 13 year old self completely shitless.
Scream is not only my absolute favourite movie for all time, It was the movie that started my interest in movies altogether on a whole new level, a made my what many would call a movie buff and wanting to know every single detail about a movie.
For most people is SCREAM "just" a teen slasher flick, and this might sound biased but the movie hit the golden ratio on director, screenwriter, cast and locations.
This conditions is the reason why Ghost Face was and still is one of the most iconic horror masks of all time.
Everytime I revisit Woodsboro a flood of emotions and memories comes to me.
I know the entire script by heart (so to this day everybody hates watching this movie with me!)

Box Office Bomb or Not
One of me weird quirks when it comes to movies, is checking the how good the movie did financially.
I'm seeing how big an investment the studio have made on budget and marketing, then checking if it pans out for them at the boxoffice.
If you wanna check out the budget for your favorite movies then go to If you wanna check out the budget for your favorite movies then go to the-numbers.com it an awesome website with tons of details aboute the movie like Domestic, International, Worldwide Box Office.
...Don't You Judge Me!
A guilty pleasure of mine is locking big budget movies theatrical performance.
Taking some delight in see a movies with a overblown budget that I already have a biased opinion about, do to studios milking franchises relentless, and to see them fail miserably at the boxoffice, gives me this weird smirk on my face.
This is evern before I havent seen the movie in first place ...I know I'm being pity.
